MEET CIARA TUNSON

Ciara Tunson, founder and Principal Designer of Tunson Interiors has had experience in many different aspects of Interior Design, including; commercial office space interior design, residential interior design, custom artwork, furniture sales and construction. With all of the different experiences that Ciara has had throughout her career, her knowledge, services able to provide, and processes have expanded immensely and have created it so that the client will have a hands-on designer in all aspects with all parties of the project from beginning to finish.

A GLANCE AT THE DESIGN PROCESS

At Tunson Interiors a top priority is creating a smooth, easy and fun experience for the client on their design project. Design projects can feel very overwhelming and stressful with all that is involved, so Ciara has created a process and has formatted standards to create the best possible experience for the client. Below shows a very small sneak peak of some of the items provided and a few parts of the overall process.

Construction Check list At Tunson Interiors, a top priority is to make the design process as smooth, timely, organized and stress-free as possible for the client. This is a snip of a small portion of the construction checklist, that is provided to the client so that they are aware of each decision that will need to be made, dates, order of process and any notes or information for each decision.	Sneak Peak Concept Board Once a contract is established with a client, and the construction check list has been started, the client and Ciara will collaborate and look at images to determine the overall aesthetic desired. Once Ciara has a clear understanding of the desired style, she creates multiple concept boards for the client to review. The client may write notes, circle items and cross out items on the concepts. This gives Ciara a direction to work with and feel throughout the entire process.	Example Electrical Plan Sneak Peak Ciara Tunson takes pride in being involved in every aspect of the project. Once an architect is done with the floor plans, Ciara will redline and review the plans prior to submittal (if possible) and start to create preliminary furniture, electrical and built in plans. At Tunson Interiors we want each element of the project to be thought out as a whole. The electrical plans are created for floor outlet location, pre-wire locations, and any custom items that needs to be planned in framing stages.
Plumbing and Appliance Sneak Peak Once plans are finalized, electrical plans have been created and pre-approved (changes can be made) plumbing and appliance locations are noted, and fixtures are selected. The client and Ciara will collaborate and select each fixture and finish type. Having this planned out will assist with the next design element, built ins.	Small preview of concepts Ciara feels that each design element needs to be throughout cohesively. Although each step will be approved and shown on it's own, built ins/lighting ideas/plumbing and materials are all conceived at the same time. This concept board will be provided to the client during the built in process, after plumbing has been selected. This will assist with the next step- Materials- Tile and lighting.	Tile Elevations During the design process, all materials will be selected for the interior; flooring, wall finishes, accents, window/case/base/door/ etc. Tile for showers, backsplash, accents and floors can be one of the longest and largest portions of a project. Ciara will provide physical material options, elevations, spec sheets, plans and orders per area.
Electrical Decorative This is a sneak peak of a spreadsheet with decorative lighting options. Ciara provides concept boards with multiple options prior to selection. This spreadsheet is provided after narrowing down the selections per area, and is used for pricing, ordering, tracking, receiving and installation of decorative lighting.	Furniture preliminary options While there is much more to the design process than is shown here, towards the middle of the design project, furniture options will be provided. This shows just the preliminary concept board (per area) that Ciara will provide to the client. There may be multiple options per room, and once options are narrowed down, a spreadsheet with pricing and lead time will be provided.	Fabrics/finishes Once furniture has been narrowed down, Ciara will carefully and thoughtfully select options for rugs, fabrics, finishes and accessories. All materials will be physically gathered, and Ciara will present client with options for selection. Once selected, proposals and orders will be created. At this point in the process, Ciara will order, track, create install sheets, and work with her crew to schedule the furniture installation.
